Formula 1: Aston Martin F1 Team (formerly Racing Point) unveils its name, logo and website

The British car manufacturer Aston Martin has unveiled the name and logo of its new Formula 1 team, the "Aston Martin Formula One Team", as well as its new dedicated website on 01/01/2021.

"A new era begins as British luxury carmaker returns to Grand Prix racing for the first time in over 60 years. The Aston Martin Formula One Team will make its Grand Prix debut in Melbourne, Australia, on 21/03/2021 (GP to be postponed). The new 2021 F1 car and team livery will be revealed in February (2021)," said the team, whose single-seaters will be piloted in 2021 by Lawrence Stroll (CAN) and four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel (GER, with Scuderia Ferrari between 2015 and 2020).

Aston Martin F1 Team thus replaces Racing Point F1 Team from 2021, for 10 seasons (2021-2030). The change follows the purchase of a 16.7% stake in the Silverstone based manufacturer by Lawrence Stroll, owner of the team, and a consortium of investors (Yew Tree Overseas Limited) through an investment of £182m (€216m), as announced by Aston Martin Lagonda Limited on 30/01/2020.
