Bundesliga: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (Jan 2021) + 2020 review

The 18 clubs competing in the 2020-21 Bundesliga season have nearly 139 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/01/2021. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander and the Serie A TIM, with an average of 7.7 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most-popular German club with nearly 81 million fans. In 2020, the Bavarian club acquired more than 7.3 million fans, including nearly 5.3 million followers on Instagram alone.

Borussia Dortmund, the second most popular club in the Bundesliga with nearly 31 million fans, drew an additional 3.4 million fans over the past 12 months. FC Schalke 04 complete the podium with 4.6 million fans, despite only drawing just over 200,000 fans in 2020.
