Eleven Sports: Michael Sun appointed as managing director for Taiwan

Michael Sun has been appointed as Eleven Sports' managing director for Taiwan as the group secures new distribution in the country (see below), announced the British audiovisual group on 05/01/2021. Sun succeeds Simone Kang, who stepped down after four years as managing director for Taiwan in July 2020.

"Michael joins Eleven from SlamBall Asia, where as chairman and CEO he was responsible for driving the growth of the challenger sport across Asia. Michael is a hugely experienced and respected executive. Over his thirty-year career, Michael has held senior roles in sports, media, investment and technology with China Trust Group, IMG, 11 Group, Lissajous Ventures and others. He has worked across Taiwan, mainland China and Europe and has a deep understanding of the sports and media ecosystem in Taiwan and other markets," said Eleven.
