RC Strasbourg Alsace: Populous (architectural firm) appointed to renovate the Stade de la Meinau

The English architectural firm Populous has been appointed prime contractor for the Stade de la Meinau restructuring and renovation project, announced Marc Keller, president of RC Strasbourg Alsace (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), at a press conference held on 05/01/2021.

"Architect of the mythical Wembley Stadium, inaugurated in 2007, Populous is offering Racing Club Strasbourg the guarantee of a stadium that is in keeping with the times and its environment. The British firm has given football magnificent stadiums, Arsenal's Emirates Stadium (2006), Lyon's Groupama Stadium (2016) and finally, the jewel of Tottenham (2019). The firm is also working on the ongoing renovation of Fulham's stadium (2021)," said the Alsatian club, which also justifies its choice of Populous by the relevance of its response to "three essential criteria: environmental performance, functional and financial control of the technical programme and the urban and landscape integration of the facility."
