Premier League: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (Jan 2021) + 2020 review

The 20 clubs involved in the 2020-21 Premier League season have more than 547 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/01/2021. This total enables the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular Top 5 European league, all three social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of 27.3 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with nearly 136 million fans, including 8.8 million acquired in 2020, the third best growth in absolute value behind Tottenham Hotspur FC (+9.9 million) and in particular Liverpool FC (+11.1 million, only surpassed by Real Madrid CF in the European Top 5).

Chelsea FC, the second most popular club in the Premier League, have a total of 89 million fans (+ 7 million in 2020). The 2019-20 champions, Liverpool FC, complete the podium with nearly 83 million fans.
