Montpellier HSC: future Stade Louis-Nicollin will be erected on the Ode à la Mer site in Pérols

The Stade Louis-Nicollin, the future enclosure of the Montpellier Hérault Sport Club (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), will be built on the Ode à la Mer site, an urban project for a commercial area in Pérols (a suburb located about ten kilometers south of Montpellier), announced Laurent Nicollin, president of the club, and Michaël Delafosse, mayor of Montpellier and president of the Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, on 04/01/2021.

The outcome of this project, with 100% private funding divided between the Montpellier HSC, the Nicollin Group, and local partners, is expected by the end of 2024, the year of the club's 50^th anniversary.

"It is good fortune that the taxpayer does not pay anything to finance this stadium, it is the companies of the territory of Montpellier which will carry the project, the only place where this has already done is in Lyon, but over there there are Chinese investors, here it will be 100% local thanks to Laurent Nicollin and his group," said mayor Michaël Delafosse. The cost of the project is estimated at €150m.
