Candidates for main lots of Serie A 2015-2018 TV rights: Sky, Mediaset, Fox and Eurosport

Pay-TV groups Sky Italia, Mediaset, Fox International Channels Italy and Eurosport have each submitted one or several bids for the purchase of lots of media rights for 2015-2018 Serie A, announced the Lega Serie A, the professional league that manages Italy's first division, on 05/06/2014.

The tendering procedure launched by the Italian League and its media advisor Infront Italy on 19/05/2014, stated that broadcasters had until 05/06/2014 at noon to submit their tenders to the headquarters of Lega Serie A.

The tender consisted of five separate lots:
Lot A -- For satellite broadcasting
Lot B -- For DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television)
Lot C -- Exclusive right to 35% of Serie A
Lot D -- Side elements related to live broadcast (such as pre-game interviews)
Lot E -- For internet and mobile platforms

No offers were made for the fifth lot. The awarding of the lots will be formalised at an assembly of the Lega Serie A, which, under league statutes, must be convened within 21 days, that is to say before 26/06/2014.
