FIFA: 2026 World Cup TV rights allocated in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark

The broadcasting rights for the 2026 World Football Cup have been allocated in all Scandinavian countries, confirmed FIFA on 07/01/2021. These acquisitions had previously been announced by the respective broadcasters or by local media in December 2020.

The rights, in the various countries, have been allocated to:
• Norway: NRK (public TV) and TV2 (free and pay TV)
• Sweden: SVT (public TV) and TV4 (free TV)
• Finland: YLE (public TV) and MTV3 (free TV)
• Denmark: DR (public TV) and TV2 (semi-public TV)

Co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, the 2026 World Cup will be the first to be contested by 48 national teams.

• The rights for the 2023 Women's World Cup (co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand) were awarded to the free and pay TV group Nent in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, and the public TV group YLE in Finland, by FIFA The XXIII edition of the World Cup will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada (Concacaf zone).
