FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) was faced with four of its six major partners -- Adidas, Sony, Visa and Coca Cola -- releasing statements on 08/06/2014 concerning its ethics committee's investigation into the awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar.

The ethics committee's investigatory chamber's inquiry should wrap up on 09/06/2014, and the report will be delivered to the ethics committee's adjudicatory chamber "about six weeks" later, that is, by 20/07/2014, or after the World Cup in Brazil ends (13/07/2014).

In its meeting in Sao Paulo (BRA) on 07/06/2014, FIFA's executive committee said it reaffirmed its position to let the ethics committee do its work before commenting.
