Serie A: AS Roma choose CAA Sports to sell naming rights for new stadium

AS Roma (Serie A) have chosen CAA Sports, a subsidiary of Creative Artists Agency (USA) to sell the naming rights to their future stadium, the club president's, James Palotta (USA), announced on 09/06/2014.

"It's about being one of the first stakeholders in a sports and entertainment complex unlike any in the world. And it’s about having a meaningful presence in one of the greatest cities in the world," said Palotta.

AS Roma (Serie A) unveiled their plans for a privately owned 52,500-seat stadium on 26/03/2014. The club hopes to be able to play in the venue, which will cost €300m, at the beginning of the 2016-17 season. It will be located in the Tor di Valle district, southwest of the Italian capital. The club announced that the capacity would be expandable to 60,000 for international events. American architect Dan Meis' design was inspired by the Colosseum. The stadium will have public Wi-Fi access as well as a 360° screen under the roof.
