FC Barcelona: 1.6 billion interactions on social media in 2020, a record for a club

With 1.603 billion interactions on the main social networks (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Tiktok), FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) is the club that generated the most engagement in 2020, according to the club on 08/01/2021.

Barça dominates this ranking, based on data provided by Blinkfire Analytics, a company specialised in measuring social network data, for the sixth consecutive year. In 2020, the Catalan club is ahead of Liverpool FC (Premier League, 1.485 billion interactions) and Manchester United FC (Premier League, 1.455 billion). The three clubs are ranked in the same order as in 2019 and are the only ones to surpass one billion interactions over the past year along with Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, 1.014 billion).
