China: China Mobile (Migu Video) acquires LaLiga Santander streaming rights until 2022-23

China Mobile, a Chinese telecommunications operator, has acquired the non-exclusive streaming rights to LaLiga Santander, as well as the matches of RCD Espanyol (LaLiga SmartBank), where Chinese winger Wu Lei plays, for China, until 2022-23, confirmed LaLiga to News Tank Football on 12/01/2021. The matches will be broadcast via "Migu Video" China Mobile's OTT platform.

The agreement, negotiated via the Spanish Football Commercial & Marketing Company (SFCM), a joint venture in China, for a renewable period of 15 years, between LaLiga, the Chinese-Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro and the Chinese company Super Sports Media, and which will oversee the exploitation of commercial assets and the development of new business opportunities in the country (created on 14/05/2020), also covers IPTV rights for China Mobile's network of IPTV platforms in the country, with the operator also benefiting from dedicated content, marketing rights and activations.
