CAF: Augustin E. Senghor (SEN) and Jacques Anouma (CIV) validated as candidates, A. Ahmad ineligible

Augustin Emmanuel Senghor (Senegal) and Jacques Bernard Daniel Anouma (Ivory Coast) are - among the five candidatures registered - the two candidates already admitted to stand for election as CAF president, at the 43^rd Elective Ordinary General Assembly scheduled to take place in Rabat (Morocco) on 12/03/2021, after the examination of their files by the Governance Committee of the Confederation of African Football, which met in Cairo (Egypt) on 05 and 06/01/2021.

• Augustin E. Senghor (55), a lawyer, has been the president of the Senegalese Football Federation since August 2009 and a member of the CAF executive committee since February 2018.
• Jacques Anouma (69), financial executive and former member of the FIFA executive committee, is the former president of the Ivorian Football Federation of which he is now honorary president.
