Premier League: stadiums made available to NHS workers for vaccination campaign

"Crystal Palace FC, Chelsea FC, Leeds United FC and Manchester City FC are among a number of Premier League clubs continuing to help in the battle against Covid-19," announced the Premier League on 10/01/2021.

Crystal Palace's stadium Selhurst Park in south-east London (ENG), the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and Elland Road in Leeds will serve as vaccination centres. The Copthorne Hotel at Stamford Bridge in London has been hosting National Health Services (NHS) workers on behalf of Chelsea FC since it was announced that England would be on lockdown again on 04/01/2021, as the club had previously done in 2020.

"We are proud to be playing our part in helping the NHS deliver the vaccine to as many people as possible as quickly as possible. Selhurst Park sits at the heart of our community so we were delighted to put our stadium at the disposal of the NHS. Nothing could be more important than the rapid roll-out of the vaccine programme to allow us all to return to something approaching normality," said Steve Parish, chairman of Crystal Palace FC.
