Southampton FC: a turnover of £126.6m (-15.4%) and net loss of £76.1m in 2019-20

Southampton FC (Premier League) have posted a turnover of £126.6m (€138.8m as of 30/06/2020) for the financial year 2020 (from 01/07/2019 to 30/06/2020), down 15.4% compared with 2019 (£149.6m/€166.9m), announced the club on 12/01/2021.

"Broadcasting revenue fell to £93.5m (€102.5m, versus £112.8m/€125.8m in 2019) as a consequence of the season ending after 30/06/2020, whilst matchday revenue fell to £14.5m (€15.9m, versus £17m/€19m in 2019) due to matches being played behind closed-doors," said the English club, which has evaluated the loss of revenue linked to the Covid-19 crisis at £10.3m (€11.3m), bearing in mind that £20.9m (€21.9m) of revenue has been deferred to the financial year 2021.

Southampton FC posted a net loss of £76.1m (€83.4m) in 2019-20, compared with a net loss of £41m (€45.7m) in 2018-19.
