Joseph Blatter (Switzerland), the president of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), announced at the 36th ordinary general assembly of CAF (Confederation of African Football) in Sao Paulo (BRA) on 09/06/2014 that he will seek a fifth term in 2015.

"I still have the fire inside me. I'm still here and if you want me, you say yes or no," said Blatter, who has been FIFA president since 08/06/1998, to the presidents of African national federations. It is said that the Swiss leader, who is in his fourth four-year term (2011-2015) as head of the international body, will formally submit his candidacy to the FIFA congress in Sao Paulo on 11/06/2014 .

During an interview with News Tank, the president (who turned 78 on 10/03/2014) said he was persuaded that the Sao Paulo congress would reject any age limit on the president and the executive committee. "I don't know with what percentage of votes, but the age limit will be rejected."

The next election to the presidency of FIFA is set for 29/05/2015, in Zurich (SUI), during the annual congress.
