Qatar 2022: After Adidas, Visa, Sony and Coca-Cola, three more FIFA partners release statements

On 09/06/2014 three more statements were released by FIFA partners concerning the investigation by the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) ethics committee into the awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar. They come from Hyundai and Kia, major FIFA co-partners; Anheuser-Busch InBev, a partner for the 2014, 2018 and 2022 World Cups; and the British group BP, Castrol's parent company and a 2014 World Cup sponsor.

They are thus joining with four of the six major partners of FIFA -- Adidas, Sony, Visa and Coca-Cola -- who said on 08/06/2014 that they were following the investigation carefully.

The ethics committee's investigatory chamber's inquiry was to have wrapped up on 09/06/2014, and the report is to be delivered to the ethics committee's adjudicatory chamber "about six weeks" later, that is, by 20/07/2014, or after the World Cup in Brazil ends (13/07/2014).

In its meeting in Sao Paulo (BRA) on 07/06/2014, FIFA's executive committee said it reaffirmed its position to let the ethics committee do its work before commenting.
