FFF: "I have decided to request the renewal of your confidence" (Noël Le Graët, candidate)

"After having widely consulted the actors in French football in recent weeks and the members of the FFF executive committee this morning, I have decided to ask for the renewal of your confidence, by presenting to you my candidacy for the presidency of our Federation," announced Noël Le Graët, president of the French Football Federation, on 21/01/2021, 51 days before the election scheduled for Saturday, 13/03/2021.

Elections for the 2020-2024 quadrennial cycle were originally scheduled for Saturday 12/12/2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic has led to a three-month postponement.

President of the FFF since 18/06/2011, reelected in 2012, then again in 2017, Noël Le Graët, who turned 79 years old on 25/12/2020, is therefore a candidate for a new term, with the slogan "The club at heart of the game", as he indicated in a letter addressed to French football.

Two other candidatures have already been announced:
• Frédéric Thiriez, 68, former president of the French Professional Football League (2002-2016), on 15/12/2020.
