Rugby: Umbro and RFU launch a jersey commemorating 150 years since England's 1^st international match

Umbro has activated its partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and launched a commemorative jersey for the 150^th anniversary of the first international rugby match played by the England team (27/03/1871), according to the American brand of British origin on 19/01/2021.

The jersey will be worn on the occasion of England's match versus Scotland, the opening match of the 6 Nations Tournament on 06/01/2021 (kick-off 17:45 CET).

"England will commemorate this historic milestone by wearing a one-off jersey inspired by the one worn a century and a half ago. Paying homage to the original kit from 1871, the clean design features England's heritage rose, and a gold embroidered 1871-2021 sign off. In agreement with England Rugby's principal partner O2, their mark has been moved to the sleeve to support the heritage aesthetic," said Umbro.
