"The first aspect (regarding Covid-19) was to react to the lockdown in spring 2020, respecting the health measures by hosting ghost matches, without spectators, in order to finish the (2019-20) season and earn vital financial resources for the club, like the TV rights and other contracts that needed an end to the season to be fulfilled. Then, it was about finding short-terms solutions for partners to compensate for what we could not provide, like hospitality. It was about creating new, digital ideas to compensate partnership contractual rights," said Andreas Jung, member of the executive board in charge of marketing for FC Bayern Munich, at e-Think Sport 2021 on 26/01/2021.

Andreas Jung spoke about Bayern's multi-sport activities after an introduction by Jean-Michel Aulas, president of Olympique Lyonnais and 2021 e-Think Sport Ambassador, on OL Groupe's multi-sport strategy (LDLC ASVEL in EuroLeague Basketball and OL Reign in US women's professional football). Like ASVEL, Bayern Basketball will soon join as a long-term licensed (10-years) member of EuroLeague Basketball.
