Germany: DAZN acquires Club World Cup 2020 (04-11/02/2021) broadcasting rights

The OTT platform DAZN has acquired the broadcasting rights to the FIFA Club World Cup 2020 (played in Qatar from 04 to 11/02/2021) for Germany on 25/01/2021.

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), 2019-20 Champions League winners, will enter the competition directly in the semi-finals on 08/02/2021. Bayern will face the winner of the match between Al-Duhail SC (champions of Qatar in 2019-20) and Ahly Sports Club (EGY, winner of the 2019-20 CAF Champions League).

Six teams are participating in the Club World Cup, including the future winner of the Copa Libertadores 2020 organised by CONMEBOL. The final, between the Brazilian clubs Palmeiras São Paulo and FC Santos, is scheduled for Saturday 30/01/2021. DAZN will also broadcast the Copa Libertadores final in Germany.
