UEFA: EA Sports (video games, FIFA) extends exclusive licensing rights from 2021-22

EA Sports will retain exclusive licensing rights for UEFA competitions as part of an extended partnership with the European body for several seasons from 2021-22, announced the subsidiary of Electronic Arts on 02/02/2021. The American video game publisher already benefits from the licensing rights for UEFA competitions for the 2018-2021 cycle.

EA Sports will therefore continue to hold the licensing rights to UEFA's main competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup), although this new agreement does not seem to cover the Women's Champions League or the Europa Conference League, which will be launched in 2021-22. This partnership extension also covers the eChampions League, UEFA's esports competition.

The Redwood City (California, USA) based company also announced the upcoming launch of six new FIFA mobile games, "ranging from authentic simulation to unique arcade formats".
