Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (February 2021)

The 18 clubs competing in the 2020-21 Bundesliga season have nearly 140 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/02/2021. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander and the Serie A TIM, with an average of over 7.7 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most-popular German club with nearly 82 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund with 31 million. FC Schalke 04 completes the Bundesliga podium with nearly 4.7 million fans.

The Bavarian club posted the best growth in absolute value on each of the three social networks during January with an additional 467,577 fans in total, including 62% of them via Instagram.

Eintracht Frankfurt posted the best percentage growth among the Bundesliga clubs during the past month on Instagram (+4.0%) and Facebook (+1.5%), while 1. FC Union Berlin dominated on Twitter (+1.6%).
