Serie A TIM: ACF Fiorentina opens an official account on the Chinese social network Sina Weibo

"ACF Fiorentina (Serie A TIM) are delighted to announce the launch of the club's official channel on Sina Weibo, the most popular social network in China," announced the Italian club on 28/01/2021. An account dedicated to Fiorentina did in fact already exist on Weibo, however, it had not been activated for several years.

"The launch is the first step in Fiorentina's push to engage with the many Viola fans in China, in accordance with the club’s aim of becoming a club with international reach and a closer relationship with fans all over the world through a strategy based around localised initiatives," added the club.

"Following the launch of a Fiorentina English-language Twitter page last season and the creation of a club account on TikTok, the opening of an official Sina Weibo account represents the latest step in Fiorentina's digital growth strategy, which saw the launch of a brand-new club website and the first-ever club app in October 2020," explained the club, which also announced the upcoming launch of Russian-language accounts on its various social networks.
