LFP: Canal+ aquires exclusive TV rights to Ligue 1 from Matchday 25 to end of the 2020-21 season

"The Ligue de Football Professionnel and the Canal+ group announce a global agreement concerning the audiovisual rights to Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT for the 2020-21 season. From Matchday 25 of Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT (weekend of 13-14/02/2021), and until the end of the 2020-21 season, the Canal+ group will have the exclusive audiovisual rights, live and in full, for the entirety of Ligue 1 Uber Eats matches, and 8 of the 10 Ligue 2 BKT games per matchday," announced the LFP and Canal+ on 04/02/2021.

"In addition to the rights to these matches, the Canal+ group will have full magazine rights during the week andweekends. Following the call for tenders declared unsuccessful this week, the LFP and Canal+ are pleased to have found a global solution to broadcast the matches of Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT to a large audience for the 2020-21 season," specified Canal+ and the LFP in a joint statement.

Canal+ will pay an additional €35m for the last 14 matchdays of the 2020-21 season, and maintain the scheduled payments of Lot 3 that it had acquired via sub-license…
