Italy: Lega Serie A crosses the 6 million followers mark on Instagram

The Lega Serie A's official account on the social network Instagram now has more than 6 million followers, with an increase of one million in the last eight months, announced the Italian League on 01/02/2021.

"Six million fans from around the world share the passion for Italian football and our championship. As on all Lega Serie A platforms, these fans can find on Instagram images, anecdotes, highlights and statistics about the Serie A TIM, the Coppa Italia, the Supercoppa Italiana and the Primavera TIM (youth league) competitions, as well as all the protagonists that contribute to making our championship unique throughout the world," added Lega Serie A.

As of 05/02/2021, however, the Italian professional league's number of followers on Instagram is still lower than that of the Premier League (43.5 million), LaLiga (33.1 million) and the Bundesliga (6.8 million). Lega Serie A is only ahead of Ligue 1 Uber Eats (2.4 million) among the European Top 5.
