Ligue 1 Uber Eats: "Frank McCourt categorically denies rumors about the sale of Olympique Marseille"

"Frank McCourt (American owner of Olympique de Marseille, Ligue 1 Uber Eats) categorically denies the misleading and deleterious rumours about the sale of OM. The sole purpose of these rumours is to destabilise a project in which Frank McCourt has been personally involved in for more than four years," said the French club on 05/02/2021.

Olympique de Marseille reacted to recent rumours in the French media about a €480m bid by Kingdom Holding Company - owned by the Saudi Arabian businessman Al-Walid Ben Talal - to acquire the club.

"My commitment to OM, its employees, the City and the people of Marseille is total. I will remain, along with the entire management of OM and its president, Jacques-Henri Eyraud, committed to seeing this project through to the end. We owe it to OM and its history, past, present and future. I also wonder about the origin of these repeated campaigns of disinformation and wonder who benefits from these manipulations," said Frank McCourt.
