TikTok: number of followers of the 71 European Top 5 clubs with an official account (February 2021)

With 6.9 million followers, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) is the most popular European club on the Chinese social network TikTok, ahead of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, 4.4 million) and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, 4.1 million), according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/02/2021.

Barça and Manchester United FC (Premier League) posted the best growth in absolute value in January 2021, with an additional 300,000 followers each.

Leeds United FC posted the best percentage growth over the period (excluding accounts with less than 10,000 followers) with a 40.5% increase in its number of followers, ahead of Athletic Club Bilbao (LaLiga Santander, +31.8%) and Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga, +28.2%).

71 of the 98 clubs (72.4%) in the European Top 5 have an official account on TikTok:
• 20 out of 20 (100%) in LaLiga Santander
• 16 out of 20 (80%) in the Premier League
• 13 out of 18 (72.2%) in the Bundesliga
