2021 Super Bowl: 96 million viewers in the United States (lowest audience since 2007)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Kansas City Chiefs (31-9), the 55^th edition of the Super Bowl, at the Raymond James Stadium (65,890 capacity) in Tampa Bay (Florida, USA), drew 91.6 million viewers in the United States on the free-TV channel CBS (96.4 million, including Spanish-language broadcasting on the ESPN Deportes pay-TV channel and streaming on the CBS, NFL and Verizon platforms) on Sunday 07/02/2021 (kick-off at 18:30, US East Coast time, 00:30 CET D+1), according to data from the Nielsen Institute.

CBS posted an 8.3% drop in TV audience compared with the previous edition of the Super Bowl (Kansas City Chiefs - San Francisco 49ers, 31-20) broadcast on Fox (99.9 million viewers), which is the most watched event in the United States (all programmes combined).

The 2021 Super Bowl posted the lowest audience for the competition in the USA since the 2007 edition, which drew 93.25 million viewers on CBS. However it was the most streamed edition, with an average of 5.7 million viewers on digital platforms (+65% compared to the 2020 edition).
