Premier League: action plan to promote "opportunities and career progression" for minority groups

"Creating greater access to opportunities and career progression for Black, Asian and other minority ethnic groups in football, and actions to eradicate racial prejudice," are part of the Premier League's "action plan to promote equality, diversity and inclusion" announced the English league on 10/02/2021.

This action plan is part of the "No room for racism" initiative, launched by the Premier League in March 2019, through which the league has already organised numerous anti-discrimination operations including: anti-racism patches worn on the sleeve of all club shirts (see below), a communication campaign highlighting players of African and Caribbean origin and encouraging fans to denounce racist behaviour in stadiums.

All 20 Premier League clubs that participated in the development of the new action plan and unanimously validated it are committed to taking concrete action in six areas:
• "Increasing diversity in leadership positions in all areas
• Increasing the representation of coaches from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds
