Serie A TIM: American investor Robert Platek and his family acquire AC Spezia Calcio

"AC Spezia Calcio (Serie A TIM) is pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of the club by the Platek family," said the Italian club on 11/02/2021.

"This is a personal investment by the Platek family and has no affiliation with MSD Capital," added the club, while the American investor Robert Platek, one of MSD Capital's partners, was associated to buy AC Spezia Calcio on behalf of the American investment structure in charge of managing the assets of billionaire Michael Dell (founding CEO of the American IT company Dell), itself already the owner of two clubs: Casa Pia AC (second division) in Portugal and SønderjyskE (first division) in Denmark.
