UK: LaLiga TV to be distributed on Amazon (£6.99/month), a first for a European League

LaLiga has announced a distribution agreement in the United Kingdom with Amazon for LaLiga TV, an English-language channel broadcasting 24/7 featuring all LaLiga Santander matches, on 11/02/2021. The agreement became effective the same day and is valid until the end of the 2021-22 season.

LaLiga TV, which is marketed at £6.99 per month (€7.96), joins over 70 Prime Video channels already available in the UK. These individual channels complement Amazon Prime's standard video-on-demand offer.

This is the first time that a European football league has entered into a distribution agreement of this type with Amazon. Juventus FC was the first European club to enter into a similar agreement, in Italy, on 04/11/2020 (see below).

LaLiga TV is also available on the OTT platform of the British pay-TV group Premier Sports, which holds the rights to broadcast the Spanish league in the United Kingdom from 10/09/2019 (until the end of the 2021-22 season). LaLiga TV has been available on this platform since October 2019, and via the pay TV operator Sky since 13/01/2020.
