SV Werder Bremen: 188BET (betting) becomes sleeve sponsor, Haake-Beck (beer) extends partnership

188BET, an Asian sports betting operator, has become a "Top sponsor" (third level) and sleeve sponsor of SV Werder Bremen (Bundesliga) "from the beginning of February 2021," announced the club on 12/02/2021. The agreement, worth €1.5m per season, will run until the end of 2022-23, according to German media.

188BET succeeds another bookmaker, Toutou, a sports and sports betting operator belonging to the same Chinese group that has been Werder Bremen's sleeve sponsor since the 2019-20 season (€1.3m/season, agreement on 02/08/2019). The Toutou brand has ceased its activities since 21/12/2020.

The German club has also extended its partnership with Haake-Beck (Top sponsor), a brand of beer from the Anheuser-Busch InBev group, for the 2021-2024 period following an agreement of 11/02/2021. AB InBev Germany, headquartered in Bremen, has been promoting its Haake-Beck brand at Werder since the second half of the 2014-15 season. For the 2016-2021 cycle, the beer brand will pay Werder Bremen €2m per season.
