Premier League: 5 players represented as puppets in video celebrating Chinese New Year

The Premier League has released a video clip featuring several players from the English championship in the form of traditional Chinese puppets to celebrate New Year's Eve in China (the beginning of the Year of the Ox) on 12/02/2021.

Characters representing Edinson Cavani (URU, Manchester United FC), Son Heung-min (KOR, Tottenham Hotspur FC), Jordan Henderson (ENG, Liverpool FC), James Rodriguez (COL, Everton FC) and Christian Pulisic (USA, Chelsea FC) appear in a play animated by 20 artists from an art school in Beijing (CHN).

"The spinning of the players in the video replicates the moves that take place in traditional Shadow Play productions, showing a level of skill and magic that these players also display on the pitch," said the English League about the clip, designed by Red Lantern Digital Media, which is responsible for Premier League content for China.
