Andrew Cuomo, Governor of the State of New York (USA), authorized the reopening of stadiums and arenas with more than 10,000 seats, up to 10% of their capacity, as of Tuesday 23/02/2021, he announced on 10/02/2021.

To attend a show or a sporting event, spectators must present a negative PCR test dating back less than 72 hours and have their temperature taken at the entrance to the site. They must, in the arena, wear a mask and respect the rules of physical distancing. This protocol is inspired by that applied as a test during games of the American football team of the Buffalo Bills in January 2021.

• In the Brooklyn neighborhood, the Barclays Center, which normally seats 17,700 spectators in basketball configuration, will reopen on 23/02/2021 for an NBA basketball game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Sacramento Kings.

• In Manhattan, Madison Square Garden (19,800 seats) will welcome spectators from Friday 26/02/2021, for an NHL ice hockey game between the New York Rangers and the Boston Bruins.
