Sponsorship: Raphaël Varane (FRA, Real Madrid CF) switches from Nike to Puma from 2021

Puma has become the official equipment supplier of the French footballer Raphaël Varane from 2021, the brand announced on 18/02/2021. The Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) player, who has worn Nike boots since his professional debut at RC Lens (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) in 2010-11, has been training in Puma boots since the start of the 2020-21 season.

"Puma today signed a long-term partnership with the Real Madrid and French national team star. One of the fastest defenders in world football will therefore wear the Puma Ultra, Puma's speed shoe," indicated the German equipment manufacturer.

Raphaël Varane, 2018 world champion with France and four-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, has 31.74 million followers on social networks (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) as of 18/02/2021.

Puma, which attracted world star Neymar Jr. to its ranks in 2020, already has in its portfolio of football ambassadors (#PUMAFAM) other French internationals such as Antoine Griezmann, Olivier Giroud and Samuel Umtiti.
