Girondins de Bordeaux: "I don't regret having sold the club" (N. de Tavernost, M6)

"I don't regret having sold the club (FC Girondins de Bordeaux in 2018). In the group that I lead, we made the analysis that we no longer had the means to invest in a club like Bordeaux. Many clubs lose tens of millions of euros per year: the M6 group cannot afford such losses. Today, Bordeaux has an owner who is facing these challenges, and it is already not so bad. The M6 group finalized the sale of FC Girondins de Bordeaux (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) to the American investment funds General American Capital Partners (GACP) and King Street Capital Management for €100m, on 06/11/2018. King Street later bought out the shares of GACP on 16/12/2019.
