LaLiga SmartBank: RCD Espanyol renews its collaboration with two academies in the USA and Japan

RCD Espanyol (LaLiga SmartBank) has renewed its collaboration agreement with its academy created in 2017 in New Jersey (United States) "for at least another four years," announced the Catalan club on 19/02/2021.

"At the RCDE Academy of New Jersey, they trust in the first-rate training model designed by Espanyol. This enables the club to have an international presence, and to closely monitor talented footballers in the US," said the Catalan club. The RCDE Academy New Jersey, the first football school opened by RCD Espanyol on the American continent, now has 300 players.

The club has also extended its collaboration with RCDE Academy Saitama (JPN) "for at least four years" on 11/02/2021. Created in 2017, it was at that time the club's first academy in Asia. A second academy opened in Japan, in the capital Tokyo, in August 2020.
