"Jean-Michel Aulas, president of the OL, is proposing to make the Groupama Stadium available as part of a scientific experiment involving the public in stadiums," said Olympique Lyonnais on 20/02/2021, at the end of a visit to Lyon (FRA) by Roxana Maracineanu, French Minister Delegate in charge of Sports and who met with Jean-Michel Aulas, Gaëtan Müller, president delegate of LDLC ASVEL, and Yann Roubert, president of LOU Rugby.

"We are going to propose experiments with between 4,000 and 8,000 spectators in the Groupama Stadium, which itself has a capacity of 60,000," explains Jean-Michel Aulas.

"Following scientific research, we suggested looking at how we could anticipate the reopening of sports venues with a very precise traceability study of the people. The population in the stadium would be identified and composed in a diversified manner. It would then be possible to follow them in relation to the evolution of the virus. This is a scientific study.
