Italy: record audience on DAZN for AC Milan - FC Inter Milan (2.2 million spectators; linear + OTT)

AC Milan - FC Inter Milan (0-3), on Matchday 23 of the 2020-21 Serie A TIM season played behind closed doors at the San Siro (Milan, ITA), drew an average of 1.143 million viewers on the satellite channel DAZN1, on 21/02/2021 (kick-off at 15:00 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 7%.

This is the best audience for a Serie A TIM match broadcast on the DAZN1 channel since its launch on Sky Italia on 20/09/2019 (see below). The previous record was held by the AS Roma - FC Inter Milan (2-2) match on 10/01/2021, which drew 915,000 viewers.

According to the British streaming service, which counted the number of viewers who watched the match on the OTT platform DAZN, "more than 2.2 million watched DAZN's exclusive live coverage of the match in Italy, of which 50% streamed the event."

This is also a cumulative audience record (linear + OTT) for DAZN in Italy. The previous record was for the AC Milan - FC Inter Milan (0-2) match on 21/09/2019, which drew a cumulative audience of 1.6 million viewers on the satellite channel and the OTT platform.
