Discovery: a turnover of $10.67bn (€8.74bn) and net profit of $1.2bn (€998m) in 2020

The American audiovisual group Discovery (parent company of the Eurosport pay-TV group) has posted a turnover of $10.67bn (€8.74bn, exchange rate on 31/12/2020) for the year 2020 (closing of accounts on 31/12), announced the group which published its accounts on 22/02/2021. This figure is down 4% compared with 2019.

The turnover of the group's "US networks" is down 2% and represents 65.1% of the group's turnover (versus 63.6% in 2019). The group's "international networks" turnover is down 8% and represents 34.8% of the total (36.3% in 2019).

The group's operating profit was $4.196bn (€3.435bn) in 2020, down 10% compared with 2019. Net profit was $1.219bn (€998m) versus $2.069bn (€1.84bn) the previous year (down 41%).
