Formula E: 2021 season begins with two night races in Saudi Arabia on 26 and 27/02/2021

The ABB FIA Formula E 2021 World Championship for electric cars will start, behind closed doors, in Diriyah (Saudi Arabia), with two night races on 26 and 27/02/2021. Season 7 includes 12 teams, including 10 manufacturers, for 24 drivers including Portuguese driver António Félix da Costa (DS Techeetah), defending champion.

The competition was initially scheduled to start in Santiago (Chile) with two races on 16/01 and 17/01/2021. Due to the health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, these races were postponed to 05/06 and 06/06/2021.

The Championship is broadcast by the Discovery Group, via its Eurosport pay-TV channels, which extended its TV rights on 24/02/2021, in 50 European markets including France, where the L'Équipe website is also a broadcaster of the competition following an agreement on 23/02/2021. The agreement includes exclusive coverage in 27 markets, with fans being able to enjoy certain broadcasts via Discovery's free channels, notably in the UK (Quest) where the BBC also broadcasts the races.
