United States: TikTok (CHN), sleeve sponsor of Portland Timbers (MLS) and Thorns FC (NWSL)

TikTok (Douyin in Asia), a Chinese social network available in more than 150 countries and 75 languages, has become a partner and sleeve sponsor of the Portland Timbers (MLS) and Portland Thorns (NWSL) for several seasons from the 2021 season, announced the two American franchises on 23/02/2021.

"Each team has launched an official account and will collaborate with TikTok to produce weekly content, including highlights, behind-the-scenes, in-match, mascots, player and fan reactions. Multiple Timbers and Thorns FC players will be club ambassadors and influencers as TikTok content creators," said the Portland Timbers. American businessman Merritt Paulson is the owner of the two Portland-based franchises, both of which operate at Providence Park (25,200 capacity).
