FIFPro: partnership with KPMG to create a platform that monitors the "workload" of players

"FIFPro and the Football Benchmark practice of KPMG (football-dedicated business intelligence platform of the international network of audit and consulting firms) have signed a three-year cooperation agreement to create a new cutting-edge platform that will monitor the workload of professional footballers," said the global representative organisation for professional football players on 19/02/2021.

FIFPro Player Workload Monitoring (PWM), set to launch in March (2021), will address a growing need for aggregated player workload databy providing extensive information about the playing time, travel and recovery periods of a sample of male and female footballers. The digital platform will help the football industry stakeholders make informed decisions in designing the next generation of national and international competitions so that they are sustainable, integrated,and benefit footballers and the game as a whole," added FIFPro.
