Olympique de Marseille: Pablo Longoria replaces J-H Eyraud as chair of the board and president

"Pablo Longoria, who has held the post of director of football for Olympique de Marseille since 03/08/2020, becomes chairman of the management board and president of the club, with immediate effect," announced Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) on 26/02/2021. The Spaniard replaces the Frenchman Jacques-Henri Eyraud, who held these posts since September 2016, and who will join the club's supervisory board.

"Longoria (34 years old) will be responsible for the management of the club, both sporting and economically. He previously worked as a recruiter at Newcastle United FC (Premier League) in England, at Recreativo de Huelva (Segunda División B, 3^rd division) in Spain, US Sassuolo Calcio and Atalanta BC (Serie A TIM) in Italy. From 2015 to 2018, he was in charge of recruiting and scouting manager of Juventus FC (Serie A TIM), then , as sporting director of Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander), he directly contributed to Valencia's return to the European scene with a return to the UEFA Champions League and obtaining a trophy (the Copa del Rey)," added OM.
