Serie A TIM TV rights (2021-2024): allocation postponed, 11 clubs voted for DAZN, 14 were needed

The allocation of the domestic broadcasting rights to the Serie A TIM, for the 2021-2024 cycle, has been postponed, according to the Lega Serie A on 26/02/2021. The Italian League also postponed the decision on the offer from a consortium (see details of the offer below) composed of CVC Capital Partners, a Luxembourg fund with a presence in rugby, the US fund Advent and the Italian public fund FSI (Fondo Strategico Italiano).

11 club presidents (from Atalanta BC, Cagliari Calcio, ACF Fiorentina, Hellas Verona FC, FC Inter Milan, Juventus FC, SS Lazio, AC Milan, SSC Napoli, Parma Calcio 1913 and Udinese Calcio) out of 20 voted in favour of an offer from the OTT platform DAZN (supported by Telecom Italia) worth €840m per season (for 7 out of 10 matches on an exclusive basis, and the other 3 on a non-exclusive basis), according to Italian media.
