UEFA: publication of a guide for the building and management of training centres

Infrastructure, process and function, training facilities, sustainability and accessibility - these are the five key areas covered by the new guide on the construction and renovation of training centres published by UEFA on 25/02/2021.

The document "offers clubs and associations important advice for every step of an increasingly important project," said the European Confederation.

"UEFA's role as the governing body of European football is to help raise standards both on and off the pitch, and to assist the clubs and member associations, as well as the European football community as a whole," said Giorgio Marchetti (ITA), deputy general secretary at UEFA.

"Everything that we as UEFA can do to encourage and assist in the development of top-class training facilities will be of great benefit to football, as well as to local communities," added Marchetti.
