Ligue 1 Uber Eats: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter statements for the 20 clubs (March 2021)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2020-21 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season total more than 132 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/03/2021. The French championship is the least popular European Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, with an average of 6.6 million fans per club.

Paris Saint-Germain remains the most popular French club with nearly 85 million fans, followed by AS Monaco FC with 13.3 million and Olympique de Marseille, with 11.3 million.

The Parisian club posted the best growth in absolute value among the Ligue 1 clubs during the month of February, with a total of 884,944 additional fans across the three social networks, 71% of which were on Instagram alone. Among the clubs of the European Top 5 leagues, only FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, +776,403 followers) and Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +771,566) performed better than PSG on Instagram.

Stade Brestois 29 posted the best percentage growth on Instagram (+3.2%) and Twitter (+1.5%), while AS Monaco posted the best growth on Facebook (+6.1%).
