Qatar's 2022 organising committee: "We have fully co-operated" with ethics committee investigation

"We have fully co-operated in a completely open and transparent manner with FIFA’s [Fédération Internationale de Football Association] independent ethics committee investigation into the bidding process [the procedure for the awarding of the 2022 World Cup]," said the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (Qatar's local organising committee for the 2022 World Cup) on 15/06/2014.

On the site of the QFA (Qatari Football Association), the Committee also rejected accusations of corruption in the awarding of the 2022 World Cup by the British newsweekly The Sunday Times on 01/06/2014.

"The timing of the release of these allegations is no accident, falling in the same week as our interviews with Michael Garcia and a week before meetings of the FIFA executive committee [07 and 08/06/2014 in Sao Paulo, BRA] and the 2014 FIFA congress in Brazil [10 and 11/06/2014 in Sao Paulo]."

"[These media accusations] are a flagrant attempt to prejudice an ongoing independent investigation," the committee added.
