Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (March 2021)

The 18 clubs competing in the 2020-21 Bundesliga season have more than 141 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/03/2021. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander and the Serie A TIM, with an average of nearly 7.9 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most-popular German club with over 83 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund with 31 million. FC Schalke 04 completes the Bundesliga podium with nearly 4.7 million fans.

Bayern Munich, winners of the FIFA Club World Cup on 11/02/2021, posted the best growth in absolute value on each of the three social networks with more than 1.2 million additional fans in total, 52% of which were on Facebook and 40% via Instagram.

RB Leipzig posted the best percentage growth among the Bundesliga clubs during the month of February 2021 on Instagram (+3.9%), while Eintracht Frankfurt posted the best percentage growth on Facebook (+1.9%) and Bayern Munich on Twitter (+1.8%).
